https://upforme.ru/uploads/0019/3c/8c/513/t89943.png

❄👑 SNOW QUEEN’S ICE CITADEL: MINOR DEVIATIONS 👑❄

PROLOGUE — THE CASTLE THAT REFUSED TO MELT

Five days. One enchanted castle. Six guild members. One extremely skeptical engineer. And a few fairies with absolutely no respect for building codes.

❄✨❄

The Snow Queen’s Ice Citadel had stood abandoned for centuries, frozen in time, untouched by summer, and apparently uninterested in welcoming visitors.

Naturally, I thought this sounded like a fabulous vacation.

Nikita, a practical restoration engineer who believed in measurements rather than magic, had been hired to inspect the castle.

Unfortunately for Nikita, our guild had volunteered to assist.

“I sense ancient fairy magic!” I announced, adjusting my bejeweled tinfoil tiara.

“I sense five days without central heating,” DeNae replied, checking the snack supplies.

John examined the towering ice walls.

“Structurally fascinating. Logistically ridiculous.”

Julie noticed tiny footprints sparkling across the snow.

Lala raised an eyebrow.

“Either we have fairies or the mice here wear glitter.”

Oksana simply smiled. She had already organized everyone’s assignments, distributed enchanted scarves, and somehow knew where the hidden entrance was.

Nikita opened his notebook.

“Day One. Building appears stable. Accompanying personnel appear questionable.”

The enormous doors swung open by themselves.

I grinned.

“ADVENTURE TIME!”

Somewhere inside, a fairy giggled.

Nikita sighed.

It was going to be a very long five days.

❄👑✨ ✨👑❄

❄👑 SNOW QUEEN’S ICE CITADEL 👑❄

DAY ONE — THE SHARD THAT REMEMBERED

Today’s discovery: Ice Shard — Frozen Collection

🧊✨❄

Our first discovery came in Kai’s abandoned bedroom.

According to Nikita’s inventory, a mysterious Ice Shard belonged inside a locked wooden box.

Instead, it was embedded in the opposite wall.

“Unauthorized relocation,” Nikita muttered.

“Ghost housekeeping,” I suggested, opening my trusty Handy Dandy Journal.

When Julie examined the shard, the ice shimmered, revealing Kai sitting beside the Snow Queen.

She was teaching him to create tiny animals from frozen stars.

Then something unexpected happened.

A little ice chicken escaped Kai’s hands, fluttered across the room, and landed on Julie’s shoulder.

Julie looked delighted.

John looked concerned.

Nikita looked for a rational explanation.

The chicken sneezed snowflakes.

“Well,” Lala observed, “at least somebody finally understands Julie’s interests.”

Suddenly, the vision changed.

The Snow Queen whispered to Kai:

“Even winter must someday learn to let go.”

The shard pulsed.

Then Kai turned toward us.

“Please tell her I made it home.”

Nikita dropped his pencil.

“An interactive optical phenomenon,” he whispered.

DeNae handed him a cookie.

“You’re going to need carbohydrates for this nonsense.”

High above us, tiny fairy bells rang.

I looked at Nikita, adjusted my tiara, and made an extremely important entry in my Handy Dandy Journal.

“Day One: Magical ice confirmed. Talking memories confirmed. Chicken of questionable origin confirmed. Engineer still in denial.”

Our mystery had officially begun!

 THE OLYMPIAD OF IMPOSSIBLE ODDS
An Absolutely Unauthorized Mystery Manor Adventure

PART ONE — DeNae: The Pool Was Supposed to Be Relaxing

There are certain things a woman should be able to count on.

The sun rising in the east.

Chocolate being a perfectly reasonable breakfast.

And a swimming pool remaining an ordinary swimming pool for at least ONE afternoon.

Apparently, the Mystery Manor had a problem with all three.

It started at 2:17 p.m.

I remember because I'd arranged two lounge chairs, ordered a pitcher of something fruity, and informed my younger sister that absolutely NOTHING was interrupting our afternoon.

Tara was sitting beside me wearing oversized sunglasses, a purple swimsuit, and her ridiculous bejeweled tiara.

She was writing in her Handy Dandy Journal.

"Why are you taking notes?" I asked.

"Research."

"On what?"

"The pool."

"It's water, Tara."

"That's what it WANTS you to think."

I closed my eyes.

This was already going badly.

Then something enormous splashed beneath the surface.

Not a swimmer.

Not a fish.

Something that sounded suspiciously like a horse.

Tara lowered her sunglasses.

"DeNae."

"No."

"I think—"

"Absolutely not."

"There's a SEAHORSE in the deep end!"

Naturally, I looked.

There, emerging from the water, was a magnificent seahorse approximately the size of a refrigerator.

It wore a gold harness, a tiny ceremonial helmet, and an expression of professional exhaustion.

Behind it floated a scroll.

The seahorse cleared its throat.

"BY DECREE OF OLYMPUS—"

I held up one finger.

"Is this going to take long? We ordered drinks."

The creature blinked.

Tara was already standing.

"OLYMPUS?! As in THE Olympus?!"

The seahorse unrolled its scroll.

"His Supreme Aquatic Magnificence, Poseidon, Lord of the Seven Seas, Master of the Tides, Sovereign of All Things Damp—"

"Oh, good grief," I muttered.

"—hereby summons two mortal witnesses to the Centennial Olympiad!"

Tara gasped.

"WE'VE BEEN INVITED TO THE OLYMPICS!"

"We have been kidnapped by a fish with paperwork."

The seahorse looked offended.

"I am a royal herald."

"Wonderful. Tell your king we're busy."

Unfortunately, Tara had already touched the scroll.

The pool turned GOLD.

The lounge chairs vanished.

My fruity drink disappeared.

And the entire world flipped upside down.

I grabbed Tara's arm.

"TARA!"

"THIS IS AMAZING!"

"MY COCKTAIL!"

And then we fell straight through the bottom of the pool.

✨✨

We landed in a magnificent celestial arena suspended among the clouds.

Marble columns towered around an enormous turquoise swimming pool. Golden banners fluttered in a breeze that smelled like sea salt and thunderstorms.

Thousands of mythical creatures filled the stands.

Mermaids waved flags.

Nymphs tossed flower petals.

A centaur sold popcorn.

And sitting on a ridiculously oversized throne was a muscular, bearded man wearing a shimmering blue robe and holding a golden trident.

Poseidon.

Beside his throne stood a display shelf with five empty spaces.

Each space was labeled:

FASTEST SWIMMER.
GREATEST STRENGTH.
MOST GRACEFUL PERFORMANCE.
ULTIMATE ENDURANCE.
DEEPEST DIVER.

And directly beneath them stood five magnificent golden statues.

Every single one looked like Poseidon.

Tara stared.

"Well, SOMEBODY thinks highly of himself."

"Apparently humility drowned."

A booming voice thundered across the arena.

"THE MORTAL WITNESSES HAVE ARRIVED!"

On the judges' platform sat Zeus, wearing a crown of lightning and the expression of a man already regretting his family reunion.

Beside him stood Athena, Hermes, Apollo, and Ares.

Poseidon rose grandly.

"Welcome, mortals, to the greatest aquatic competition in the history of Olympus!"

Tara waved.

"HI! I'M TARA! THIS IS DENAE! SHE'S VERY GOOD WITH MONEY AND BAD DECISIONS!"

I stared at her.

"Whose bad decisions?"

"Mostly mine."

"At least we're establishing that."

Zeus stood.

"Before the games begin, I shall remind everyone of the rules. NO divine powers."

Poseidon frowned.

"An absurd restriction."

"No control over water," Zeus continued.

"No lightning," Poseidon countered.

"I AM THE JUDGE!"

"And that's exactly why I mentioned it."

Athena rolled her eyes.

Hermes laughed.

Apollo examined his reflection in the water.

Ares cracked his knuckles so loudly that three mermaids ducked.

Tara leaned toward me.

"This is the best family dysfunction I've ever witnessed."

"And we've attended Thanksgiving."

✨✨

The games began.

Hermes won the speed race.

Apparently being naturally athletic was still an advantage, even without magical sandals.

Athena won the endurance challenge by calculating the perfect swimming rhythm.

Ares won the strength competition by dragging a stone anchor across the pool floor.

Apollo won the graceful-performance competition with a spectacular dive involving three somersaults and entirely too much hair flipping.

Four statues were awarded.

Four golden Poseidons were carried away by other gods.

Poseidon's face turned increasingly red.

His previously prepared shelf remained EMPTY.

Tara scribbled furiously in her journal.

"Observation number seventeen: Never order trophies before winning."

"Write that in larger letters."

Poseidon slammed his trident against the marble.

"THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!"

Zeus smiled.

"Only one competition remains."

The arena fell silent.

Athena approached the edge of the pool.

"The Deep Diver."

At the bottom of the celestial pool, far deeper than any ordinary pool could possibly reach, a glowing golden figure appeared.

It was the fifth statue.

Poseidon himself, holding a trident and surrounded by tiny golden waves.

Athena explained the challenge.

"The competitors must descend into the Abyssal Chamber, retrieve the Deep Diver statue, and return to the surface. No magic. No assistance from the water. Only skill, judgment, and courage."

Poseidon smiled confidently.

Then his opponent stepped forward.

Athena.

Tara gasped.

"OH! THE GODDESS OF WISDOM VERSUS THE GOD OF WET STUFF!"

Poseidon crossed his arms.

"She cannot defeat me in my own element."

Athena smiled.

"Your element? You mean the one you aren't allowed to control?"

I actually laughed.

Poseidon did not.

Then the entire arena shook.

Far beneath the glowing statue, an enormous shadow moved.

Something ancient.

Something alive.

Something with far too many tentacles.

The seahorse herald suddenly looked nervous.

"Your Majesties, we may have a small problem."

The shadow opened one golden eye.

Then another.

Then six more.

Tara grabbed my hand.

"DeNae! IT'S AN ABYSSAL GUARDIAN!"

I stared at the creature.

Then at the pool.

Then at Zeus.

"Does ANYONE around here believe in safety inspections?!"

Athena examined the water.

"The guardian should be asleep."

Poseidon looked away.

Zeus slowly turned toward his brother.

"POSEIDON."

"What?"

"WHAT DID YOU PUT IN MY POOL?"

"A perfectly harmless ancient sea creature."

The creature roared.

The entire arena trembled.

Poseidon reconsidered.

"Mostly harmless."

And then the golden Deep Diver statue vanished into the creature's enormous mouth.

Tara's eyes lit up.

I recognized that expression.

It was the same expression she wore immediately before buying something ridiculous, investigating something dangerous, or announcing a plan that would ruin my afternoon.

She opened her journal.

"I HAVE AN IDEA!"

I closed my eyes.

"Of course you do."

She grinned.

"WE'RE GOING DIVING!"

And somewhere in the distance, my perfectly good poolside cocktail officially became a lost cause.

💚❄ SNOW QUEEN’S ICE CITADEL: MINOR DEVIATIONS ❄💚

PROLOGUE — I PACKED SNACKS. OBVIOUSLY.

Five days. One enchanted castle. A skeptical engineer. Several snack-stealing fairies. And one big sister trying to keep everybody alive, fed, and out of financial ruin.

❄💚❄

When Tara announced we were spending five days investigating the abandoned Snow Queen’s Ice Citadel, I asked three perfectly reasonable questions.

“Is there heat? Is there food? And who’s paying for this?”

Apparently, none of those details had been considered.

Wonderful.

Our expedition included Oksana, our fearless guild director; Julie, our brilliant strategist; John, our resident voice of logic; Lala, whose sarcasm could melt glaciers; and Nikita, a restoration engineer who firmly believed fairy tales were nonsense.

Poor man.

He hadn’t met my sister.

Tara arrived wearing her purple jeweled tiara, carrying her Handy Dandy Journal, and announcing that the castle was probably full of ancient magic.

I brought emergency supplies, sandwiches, chocolate, and enough common sense for everyone.

Within minutes, the castle doors opened by themselves.

Nikita called it a draft.

Tara called it destiny.

I called it a building with serious maintenance issues.

Then I noticed tiny sparkling footprints circling my snack bag.

Oh, absolutely not.

Whatever lived in this castle was about to discover that DeNae does NOT tolerate unauthorized snacking.

Especially when I haven’t eaten yet.

DAY ONE — THE GREAT COOKIE INVESTIGATION

Today’s discovery: Ice Shard — Frozen Collection

🍪🧊✨

Our first stop was Kai’s abandoned bedroom, where Nikita discovered an Ice Shard that had mysteriously moved from its inventory location.

Tara immediately suspected ghosts.

Nikita suggested an optical phenomenon.

I discovered something considerably more alarming.

MY COOKIES WERE DISAPPEARING.

While everyone stared into the magical ice, I conducted my own investigation.

Behind an ancient chair sat a tiny snow fairy wearing a miniature scarf and holding three stolen cookies.

“Excuse me, young lady.”

She froze.

I folded my arms.

“Those are emergency provisions. Do you have any idea how expensive good chocolate is?”

The fairy blinked, then offered me half a cookie.

Honestly, the nerve.

But when I knelt beside her and offered a fresh one, something extraordinary happened.

The frost beneath my hand warmed, and the Ice Shard glowed brighter.

We saw Kai laughing beside the Snow Queen, making tiny animals from ice.

For just a moment, the castle felt less like an abandoned palace and more like somebody’s home.

Julie noticed the connection immediately.

“Kindness seems to awaken its memories.”

Tara gasped.

“DENAE HAS FAIRY POWERS!”

“No, Tara. I have cookies.”

Nikita wrote something furiously in his notebook.

Lala glanced over his shoulder.

“Did you write down ‘defeated by baked goods’?”

He closed the notebook.

Naturally, I opened my own expense report.

💚 DENAE’S EXPENSE REPORT — DAY ONE 💚

Missing cookies: 3.

Magical discoveries: 1.

Reimbursement: Pending.

Fairy adoption requests from Tara: DENIED.

And if anyone thinks I’m feeding an entire kingdom of fairies for five days, they had better start collecting donations.

Day 3 — A Place Kept Ready
Found item: Ice Necklace — “Royal Treasures” collection
The Ice Necklace rested alone on its stand, a pale blue circle in a room full of glittering silence.
Oksana found a mention of it in the inventory, but no record of the Queen’s last evening. John checked the stand for cracks while Tara held a lantern.
When Nikita approached, the wall darkened.
The Snow Queen stood before an icy table. A servant had just told her that Kai had gone with Gerda.
She removed the necklace.
“Let it remain like this until he returns.”
The servant hesitated.
“Shall I clear his place?”
“No. Let everything remain as it is until his return. His room, his place at the table. Nothing must move beyond this hour.”
The servant bowed, but the Queen had more to say.
“He dislikes the silence at supper,” she murmured. “I had intended to ask him about that.”
Then she walked away.
The necklace glimmered. The vision ended.
Nikita looked toward the doorway.
“Nothing must move beyond this hour,” he repeated.
“The palace thought she meant time itself,” I said.
Oksana repeated the command from memory. DeNae wrote it down before we could lose a word.
He nodded.
We found the dining room beyond the treasury. One chair stood slightly crooked. A small spoon lay beside an untouched bowl.
Everything was ready for someone who had already left.
I straightened the chair.
It slid back. John tried holding it steady; the instant he released it, it returned.
Tara moved the spoon. That returned too.
“Perfect housekeeping,” Lala said. “Absolutely dreadful dinner party.”
Nikita watched it return to its exact position.
“There,” he said quietly. “Still carrying out the instruction.”
I had expected the Snow Queen’s treasure to show us something magnificent.
Instead, it had shown us a supper that never happened.
DeNae looked at the empty chair. “No wonder it keeps bringing everything back.”
Lala touched the chair’s back, gently this time.
On the way out, Nikita wrote down every word we had heard.
He left the explanation beneath them blank.

Day 3 — Her Majesty’s Instructions
Found item: Ice Necklace — “Royal Treasures” collection
The Snow Queen’s treasury contained fewer jewels than expected.
Apparently even royal wealth suffered when everything had to coordinate with blue.
Julie admired the necklace while DeNae kept Tara from testing whether she could wear it. John inspected the stands. Oksana searched the inventory for anything about the Queen’s departure.
Nikita approached the Ice Necklace. The wall showed us the Queen learning that Kai had left.
She removed the necklace and placed it on the table.
“Let it remain like this until he returns.”
The servant glanced toward the windows.
“And if the season changes, Majesty?”
“It will not.”
“The clocks?”
“Must wait.”
“And the servants?”
The Queen turned away.
“Leave me. Let everything remain as it is until his return. I will decide what comes next then.”
The servant left in such a hurry that I suspected she had spent years waiting to hear those first two words.
The vision faded.
Nikita repeated the last sentence.
“I will decide what comes next then.”
“Yes,” I said. “And apparently ‘then’ has been delayed indefinitely.”
“She made his return a condition for change.”
“And the building enforced it.”
Oksana asked DeNae to write down the command exactly. Julie caught the part about his return; Tara remembered the clocks. We pieced it together before the memory faded from our own heads.
An icy drawer beside us slid shut. Nikita reopened it.
It shut again.
John checked the runners. Nothing was jammed. Tara wedged a folded inventory sheet into the gap; the drawer politely spat it out.
Nikita tried a third time.
“Nikita. You are arguing with furniture.”
He let go.
At the bottom of the treasury stand, frost had formed around the necklace in the shape of an empty hand.
Julie noticed it too. She reached for the necklace, then stopped short of touching it.
“She really thought he might come back.”
I stopped joking for a moment.
Whatever else the Queen had been, she had left the palace expecting another day with Kai in it.
The palace had no idea how to give her a different one.
Nikita copied her words.
This time, beneath them, he wrote:
Unfinished instruction.
It was the first thing in his notebook I completely believed.

💎 DAY 3 — “THIS WAS NOT IN THE ARCHIVES”
Topic: Chilled Diadem | Collection: Royal Treasures

💎👑❄ The mysterious doorway opened in the Snow Queen's treasury, a vast circular chamber filled with transparent pedestals. Each held a single ornament, surrounded by ice so clear that the treasures appeared suspended in empty air. Nikita immediately began examining the supports. "Remarkable structural engineering," he admitted. Tara rushed towards a glittering crown. "Finally! A respectable upgrade for my tiara!” DeNae caught her sleeve. "Absolutely not. Your current crown already causes enough trouble.” Julie studied the display arrangement. "These aren't simply jewels. Each appears to preserve a particular memory.” Lala admired a diamond necklace. "I hope one of them remembers where the Queen kept her wine." John surveyed the silent room. "Let's avoid touching anything until we know what it does." Oksana smiled. "Ein ein ein ein erhreit. Particularly that pedestal in the center.”

💎🪞👑 On the central pedestal rested a delicate Chilled Diadem, fashioned from silver-white ice and five tiny gemstones. As Nikita approached, the surrounding walls darkened, revealing the Snow Queen standing alone in the same chamber centuries earlier. A frightened servant entered. "Your Majesty, Kai has run away. The girl Gerda has taken him away.” The Queen remained motionless. Slowly, she removed the diadem and placed it on the icy table. "So," she whispered, "the boy has chosen the warmth of another home." For a moment, her expression softened. Then pride returned. "Very well. Let everything remain as it is until his return.”

https://i.imgur.com/p81vxUC.jpeg

❄⏳👑 The servant hesitated. "Your Majesty, do you mean his return to the palace?" But the Queen had already turned away. Beneath the diadem, five ancient Runes blazed into life. A deep voice seemed to rise from the very foundations: “UNTIL HIS RETURN. PRESERVE ALL.” The Queen stopped abruptly. "I meant only—" But the great doors slammed shut, and the vision dissolved before she could finish. Nikita stared at the empty chamber. "The command was incomplete." Julie nodded. "And the palace interpreted it literally." Oksana's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. “Five Runes, one command, no expiration date. That could explain centuries of preservation.” John scratched his beard. "I've seen automated systems follow bad instructions, but this one deserves an award."

👑✨😂 Tara was already writing furiously. "Theory number seventeen: the Citadel is a gigantic magical computer suffering from an ancient software bug!" "And the Queen forgot the password," Lala added. DeNae examined the diadem. "If this thing has been running for centuries, I don't even want to imagine the electricity bill." Julie noticed that the five gemstones glowed in different rhythms. "They're responding to the command individually," she explained. "Perhaps each controls a different part of the palace." Nikita leaned closer, carefully examining the ice. "An integrated environmental control system," he murmured. Tara beamed. "See? Magic!" "I didn't say magic," Nikita protested. "No," John replied dryly. "You just described it with considerably more syllables."

💎🧊💔 Suddenly the diadem projected another memory. The Snow Queen stood beside Kai's empty chair, holding a tiny wooden horse he had once carved. Her voice was barely audible. "He was never meant to leave me." Then she looked towards the frozen windows. "But if he returns, I shall not let the years have taken anything from him." For the first time, the Guild saw something other than cruelty in the vanished Queen: a terrible loneliness concealed under absolute power. Lala's expression softened. "She wanted everything waiting for him, exactly as he remembered it." DeNae nodded. "A very expensive way of refusing to let go." Julie gently touched the pedestal. "And perhaps the Citadel has been waiting just as faithfully as she was." Oksana looked towards the glowing Runes. "Unfortunately, faithfulness without understanding can become a prison."

❄📓🏰 As the memory faded, Nikita noticed a small under the inscription the diadem: Five obey the sovereign voice. None may question the sovereign will. He read it aloud, then slowly closed his notebook. "That's the problem," he said. "The palace isn't broken. It's functioning exactly as instructed.” Tara raised one finger. "Then we just tell it Kai came home!" John considered the idea. "First we need to know what the Citadel understands by home." Oksana nodded approvingly. "And whether it can accept information from anyone other than its Queen." Lala sighed. "Wonderful. Tomorrow we're negotiating with a building that has abandonment issues.” DeNae handed Nikita another chocolate. "Eat. You're going to need strength to argue with five centuries of stubbornness.” Nikita took it without protest. For the first time, he was beginning to suspect that his measuring instruments might not be enough.

📌 FOUND: Chilled Diadem — Royal Treasures Collection. The diadem preserved the Queen's unfinished conversation, revealing that her careless command had become an absolute magical instruction. The Citadel had been preserving everything until Kai's return, without ever understanding what return really meant.

День 3
https://upforme.ru/uploads/0019/3c/8c/513/t278206.png
