A Five-Day Investigation

DAY 1 — "Extra Evidence"
Featuring: Julie
The scene looked ordinary enough that Mark almost resented driving out for it. A flash of light, some rattled locals, a dozen half-formed stories that would all contradict each other by evening. He'd worked a hundred scenes like it. He already knew how the report would read before he'd taken a single photograph.
Julie did not share his confidence, mostly because she hadn't yet decided to have an opinion. She moved through the scene the way she moved through everything — methodically, silently, cataloguing before concluding — while Mark filled out preliminary paperwork against the hood of the car and waited for her to catch up to what he already believed.
"You're rushing," she said, not looking up from the patch of scorched grass she was photographing.
"I'm finishing."
"Those aren't the same thing."
He'd worked with her for four months and had yet to win an argument that started this way. She had a talent for making his certainty sound like a shortcut, and an even sharper talent for being right about it. He set down his pen and walked over anyway, mostly to prove he wasn't rushing.
It was Julie who found the UV lamp — tucked half-buried at the edge of the scorch mark, its casing intact despite whatever had scorched the grass around it. Ordinary enough. Field kit issue, the kind any of a dozen agencies might have left behind. Mark logged it without much interest and moved to bag it.
"Wait." Julie was crouched now, comparing two photographs on her camera's screen — one of the lamp's position, one of the burn pattern beneath it. "The scorch mark is under the lamp."
"So?"
"So the lamp didn't fall after the burn happened. It was already here when the ground burned around it." She turned the camera toward him, and he saw it too — the pale, unmarked rectangle of grass exactly where the lamp now sat, a shadow of itself in reverse. "Whatever caused this, the lamp predates it."
Mark had built a decade-long career on the quiet confidence that everything anomalous eventually resolved into something mundane — a chemical, a hoax, a coincidence dressed up by frightened witnesses. He opened his mouth to offer one of the usual explanations and found, for the first time in longer than he wanted to admit, that he didn't have one ready.
Julie didn't gloat. She rarely did. She simply bagged the lamp, labeled it with the same unhurried precision she brought to everything, and said, "I'd like to run the timeline again. Properly, this time."
"It's a lamp, Julie."
"It's a lamp that arrived before the thing that would explain it," she said. "I don't think that's nothing. Do you?"
He didn't answer right away. Later, writing up the day's notes, he would find himself circling back to that question more than once — not because he believed her yet, but because he couldn't quite manage the report he'd planned to write. For the first time in ten years, the standard version of events refused to hold still long enough to be filed.

Room 51: Case #731 — Laura's Story
A Five-Day Investigation

DAY 1 — "Extra Evidence"
Featuring: Laura
Laura had been assigned to the case two hours before Mark, which was long enough to have already decided she liked the shape of it — not the flash of light, not the rattled witnesses, but the quiet, stubborn wrongness underneath. She had a talent for noticing when something didn't sit right before she could explain why, and she'd learned, a long time ago, not to argue herself out of it.
"You've been out here a while," Mark said, finding her crouched at the edge of the scorch mark, notebook open, unhurried.
"I like to look before I decide what I'm looking at." She said it warmly, without any edge to it — Laura rarely had an edge to anything, which was, Mark was beginning to realize, precisely why people tended to believe her when she finally did land on something. "Most scenes tell you what happened if you're patient enough to let them."
"And this one?"
"This one's still deciding whether to tell me the truth." She held up the UV lamp, half-buried at the mark's edge, its casing untouched by whatever had scorched the ground around it. "Look at the grass underneath it."
He crouched beside her. The pale rectangle of unburned grass sat exactly where the lamp now rested — a shadow in reverse, as though the burn had happened around the lamp rather than to it.
"The lamp was here first," Laura said. "Before whatever caused this. That's not a small thing, Mark."
He wanted, as he always wanted in the first hours of a case, to offer the easy explanation — equipment left behind, a coincidence of placement, some mundane sequence that would let the day end the way he'd expected it to. But Laura was watching him with the patient, open expression of someone used to waiting for people to catch up to what she already sensed, and he found the easy explanation wouldn't quite come.
"You don't seem surprised," he said.
"I'm not, really." She said it lightly, almost fondly, the way someone might speak about an old friend's familiar habit. "Some things arrive before they're supposed to. I've always thought that was less strange than people make it out to be." She bagged the lamp with careful hands, labeled it, and stood, brushing grass from her knees. "We should keep looking. I have a feeling this is only the first thing today that doesn't add up."
She was right, though neither of them would understand exactly how right for four more days.

Guild Quest. Day 1. Room51 - Case #731
Guild: Double D’s
https://i.imgur.com/FSqQlUhm.png

DAY 1 - "EXTRAORDINARY EVIDENCE"
Case №731: The Footprint from Tomorrow

I had known Agent Mark Reed long enough to recognize the precise tone of voice he used when pretending that absolutely nothing worried him. "A routine field inspection, John," he had said over the phone. "A flash over a small town, unreliable witnesses, confused timestamps. Two days, perhaps three.” An hour later, I was flying Mark and the Explorers Guild towards the town in my plane while Tara sat behind me wearing a tinfoil cap with two carefully angled antennae. They did not interfere with navigation. DeNae had packed enough food for a siege, Julie had alphabetized our equipment, Laura was quietly studying the reports, and Lala was trying to determine whether the emergency exit handle was "emotionally prepared to be pulled." Oksana occupied the last seat, perfectly serene, as though she already knew where—and possibly when—we would land. “No one touches anything at the scene,” I announced. "That means you, Lala." She looked offended. "I haven't touched anything yet. You're profiling me based on an extremely accurate pattern of previous behavior.”

The flash had occurred above Bellwether, a town whose most remarkable feature, according to Mark, was a traffic light that remained red for no scientifically defensible reason. Witnesses disagreed about everything else. Some described a silver sphere; other reported a vertical river of blue light; one elderly man insisted that the moon had descended to inspect his cabbages. The supposed impact site was an empty field behind an abandoned weather station. There was no crater, no radiation, no scorched vegetation—only damp grass, ordinary mud and three bewildered chickens that Julie immediately named Proton, Neutron and Susan. "Susan appears to be in charge," Julie observed as the hen pecked Mark's polished shoe. "Of course she is," DeNae said, opening a basket of sandwiches. "Someone around here has to be."

Mark began cataloging the site with methodical satisfaction. The readings were normal, the soil samples were unremarkable, and the security cameras had only a brief burst of static at 2:17 Tuesday morning. "There," he said, closing his instrument case. "An electrical discharge, exaggerated by frightened residents. We can finish before dinner.” Tara snapped open her Handy Dandy Notebook. "That is exactly what the aliens want us to think. First they scramble the cameras, then they hypnotize the cabbages, and finally they infiltrate the municipal government.” Laura examined the weather station's cracked wall. "Perhaps we should establish evidence of aliens before accusing them of administrative misconduct." "Thank you," Mark said. "Finalt, a reasonable person." Laura smiled gently. "I did say perhaps."

The first real anomaly appeared because Lala ignored my instructions with admirable efficiency. She had wandered behind the weather station and discovered several pale smears across the concrete foundation. "John," she called, already leaning over them, "I found either extraterrestrial writing or the world's least successful attempt at cleaning." I caught her wrist just before her finger reached the nearest mark. Under normal light, the stains resembled dried rainwater, but Julie noticed their sharp, repeating edges. Oksana quietly handed Mark the UV lamp from the evidence kit before he asked for it. "You packed that yourself?" he said. "No," Oksana replied. "I packed it because you would need it at 4:36." Mark checked his watch. It changed to 4:36 as he looked. For several seconds, nobody spoke. Then DeNae sighed. "If we're beginning the unsettling part, everyone should eat first."

Mark switched on the UV lamp. Violet light swept across the foundation, and an intricate trail erupted in electric blue: six-toed footprints emerging from the solid wall, crossing the concrete, and ending abruptly in the grass. Between them ran thin geometric lines like circuitry, accompanied by strings of microscopic symbols. Tara gasped so hard that her tinfoil antennae trembled. "Proof! Beautiful, glowing proof! Light, love and fluorescent alien feet!” Julie photographed the pattern while gently moving Susan away from it. "The residue contains a protein," she said after running a field test, "but its amino-acid arrangement repeats backward as well as forward." Lala crouched beside a print. "So our visitor was six-toed, bioluminescent and indecisive." "Or the trail is engineered," said I. "Someone wanted it discovered only under ultraviolet light."

The evidence became impossible when Laura compared our photographs with the weather station's automated maintenance archive. The station photographed its foundation every six hours to monitor structural cracking. The luminous trail was faintly visible in the image taken at 8:00 Monday evening—more than thirty hours before the flash. Mark suspected a corrupted clock until DeNae pointed out that the same frame showed a delivery truck whose timestamp matched the driver's receipt, fuel record and bank transaction. Tara flipped furiously through her notebook. "The footprints arrived early to reserve a good viewing spot." "Evidence cannot precede the event that created it," Mark replied. "Then perhaps," Laura said softly, "the flash was not the arrival. Perhaps it was the departure.” Even Lala stopped reaching for things.

Oksana stood beside the last glowing footprint, her expression thoughtful rather than surprised. "You are assuming the cause must come before the trace because that's how time behaves where we live," she said. “Room 51 exists because that assumption is not universally reliable.” Mark stared at the ultraviolet symbols, then photographed them again and reopened the report he had already marked routine atmospheric discharge. I watched him delete those words one by one. Specialists from Department 51 would later confirm that the residue had begun to decay thirty-one hours before local instruments detected the flash—and that its molecular structure appeared to be losing age instead of gaining it. Mark finally looked at our assembled team. "No speculation leaves this field until we have facts." Tara raised her notebook. "Should I remove the heading Visitors from Tomorrow?" Mark considered the footprints emerging from a wall that never opened. "No," he said reluctantly. "Just put a question mark after it."

👽📁 GUILD QUEST — ROOM 51: CASE № 731

PROLOGUE — “Three Detectives Walk Into an Alien Investigation…”

There were rooms in the Mystery Manor that sensible people avoided.

Room 51 was one of them.

The door itself should have been warning enough.

Matte black. No handle. A tiny silver plaque stamped simply:

ROOM 51

And underneath, in lettering that seemed to shimmer whenever Tara looked directly at it:

AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY

Tara stared at the door.

DeNae stared at Tara.

Lala stared at both of them.

“No,” DeNae said.

“I haven’t said anything yet,” Tara replied.

“You’re holding the Handy Dandy Notebook.”

Tara looked down at the familiar notebook clutched against her chest.

“That proves nothing.”

“It proves everything.”

Lala leaned against the wall. “Personally, I think we should open it. What’s the worst that could happen?”

DeNae slowly turned toward her.

“Do you want the alphabetical list or chronological?”

But Tara had already touched the door.

Of course she had.

The silver lettering flashed.

The hallway vanished.

And the Mystery Manor did what the Mystery Manor does best.

It ruined everyone’s afternoon.

https://upforme.ru/uploads/0019/3c/8c/7190/893581.png

🛸 SOMEWHERE ELSE ENTIRELY

The flash was blinding.

Tara hit the ground first.

DeNae landed beside her.

Lala appeared three feet away and immediately announced:

“I would like it officially documented that I hate this house.”

Tara sat up.

Her clothes were gone.

Well.

Not gone gone.

Replaced.

Dark field pants. Boots. Fitted jacket. Utility belt. Department credentials clipped neatly at her waist.

DeNae looked exactly the same.

Lala inspected herself.

“Oh. Detective chic. Fine. I forgive the house approximately twelve percent.”

https://upforme.ru/uploads/0019/3c/8c/7190/349602.png

They were standing beside a lonely stretch of road outside a small town.

Yellow evidence markers dotted a field.

Portable floodlights surrounded a scorched patch of earth.

Black government vehicles lined the road.

Antennas, cameras and equipment covered several folding tables.

And standing in the middle of it all was a man holding a thick case folder.

Tall.

Broad-shouldered.

Dark jacket.

Rolled sleeves.

Very serious face.

Very unhappy expression.

Lala stopped moving.

“Ohhhhh.”

DeNae looked at her.

“No.”

“I didn’t say anything.”

“You didn’t have to.”

The man looked at the three women, then at his watch.

“You’re late.”

Tara blinked.

“Excuse me?”

“Agent Mark Reed. Lead investigator. Case 731.” He shut the folder. “You three were supposed to report twenty-three minutes ago.”

DeNae opened her mouth.

Tara beat her to it.

“We were transported here through a magical room in a Mystery Manor.”

Mark stared at her.

Tara smiled brightly.

Mark looked at DeNae.

DeNae gave him an apologetic little shrug.

“I’ve learned not to argue with her opening statements.”

Mark looked at Lala.

Lala was still looking at Mark.

He raised an eyebrow.

She smiled.

“Hi.”

Something almost resembling amusement flickered across his face.

Almost.

Then it disappeared.

“Names.”

“Tara.”

“DeNae.”

Lala stepped slightly closer.

“Lala.”

Mark glanced at her credential.

Then back at her.

“Try to keep up, Detective Lala.”

Lala’s eyes narrowed.

“Oh, I can keep up.”

DeNae closed her eyes.

Here we go.

https://upforme.ru/uploads/0019/3c/8c/7190/436895.png

Mark began walking toward the field.

“Last night at 02:17, residents reported a flash bright enough to illuminate approximately six square miles. No thunder. No explosion. No aircraft reported in the area.”

Tara was already writing.

FLASH. 2:17 A.M. SIX MILES. DEFINITELY ALIENS.

Mark glanced at the notebook.

“You haven’t examined anything.”

“I’ve examined the situation.”

“You’ve been here forty-five seconds.”

“Sometimes that’s all I need.”

Mark stopped.

“Detective Tara, there is currently no evidence whatsoever that extraterrestrial life is involved.”

Tara slowly looked up.

Behind Mark stood a Pleiadian.

Tall. Human-looking. Beautiful. Pale hair catching the afternoon light.

Tara’s mouth fell open.

A few yards beyond him stood an Arcturian — unmistakable blue skin, enormous dark eyes, watching quietly.

Beside one of the Department vehicles stood a Sirian.

Near the trees was an Andromedan.

And farther up the hill…

Tara squinted.

Bright yellow scales.

Reptilian features.

Orion.

Tara’s hand flew toward DeNae.

“Denae.”

“No.”

“You don’t even know what I’m going to say.”

“I absolutely do.”

“ALIENS.”

“No aliens.”

“FIVE.”

“Tara.”

“THERE ARE FIVE DIFFERENT KINDS OF ALIENS STANDING BEHIND MARK.”

Mark slowly turned around.

Nothing.

At least, nothing he could see.

Tara could.

And they were watching her.

The five beings matched the races she’d spent so much time reading about — Pleiadian, Arcturian, Sirian, Andromedan and Orion — the same five primary groups described in the Family of Taygeta material she’d studied.

Her pencil nearly tore through the page.

I KNEW IT.

“DeNae. LOOK.”

DeNae stared determinedly at the evidence table.

“I see a table.”

“Behind the table.”

“A tree.”

“Beside the tree.”

“More tree.”

“The BLUE ONE.”

“There is no blue one.”

“The seven-foot—”

“Tara.”

“—ALIEN.”

“I am not seeing aliens.”

“YOU ARE REFUSING TO SEE ALIENS.”

“Correct.”

And with that, DeNae picked up an evidence bag.

“I am collecting normal Earth evidence in my normal Earth detective outfit during our completely normal involuntary transportation to a classified investigation.”

Tara stared at her.

“You realize none of that was normal.”

“I am coping.”

https://upforme.ru/uploads/0019/3c/8c/7190/683491.png

Meanwhile, Lala hadn’t heard a word.

Mark had crouched beside a strange impression in the soil.

Lala crouched beside him.

Very close beside him.

Mark looked sideways.

“Detective?”

“Yes, Agent Reed?”

“Personal space.”

“Oh. Sorry.”

She moved approximately two inches.

Mark sighed.

Lala studied the mark in the dirt.

“So, Lead Investigator Reed, what’s your brilliant professional assessment?”

“That I need evidence before forming conclusions.”

“Very responsible.”

“Thank you.”

“Boring. But responsible.”

Mark looked at her.

Lala smiled sweetly.

He fought it.

He really did.

But one corner of his mouth moved.

Lala saw it.

Oh, this was going to be fun.

✨💫

Across the field, Tara was no longer writing.

The Pleiadian had moved.

Closer.

Then the Arcturian.

Then the Sirian.

The Andromedan stepped from beside the trees.

Even the yellow-scaled Orion remained visible on the distant ridge.

None seemed threatening.

None spoke.

They simply watched.

According to the source material Tara knew, those five groups were described as the principal Galactic Federation races, although Orion’s relationship with Earth was portrayed differently from the other four.

And Tara suddenly realized something.

They weren’t watching Mark.

They weren’t watching the investigators.

They weren’t even watching the strange mark in the field.

They were watching…

her notebook.

Tara looked down.

On the page beneath the words I KNEW IT, something had appeared.

She hadn’t written it.

Five tiny symbols.

One beneath another.

And below them:

731

Tara’s excitement disappeared.

“Um.”

DeNae continued examining her evidence bag.

“No.”

“I haven’t said anything.”

“Whatever it is, no.”

“DeNae.”

Something in Tara’s voice made her finally look.

Tara held up the Handy Dandy Notebook.

DeNae’s face changed.

“Did you write that?”

“No.”

For the first time since arriving, DeNae stopped joking.

Across the field, Mark stood abruptly.

He was holding a measurement report.

His expression had changed too.

The skeptical investigator was gone.

Something had surprised him.

Something that apparently shouldn’t have been possible.

Lala noticed immediately.

“What?”

Mark checked the report again.

Then a third time.

“The trace.”

“What about it?”

Mark looked toward the scorched earth.

“It predates the flash.”

Silence.

Tara slowly turned toward the five beings.

The Pleiadian smiled.

Then—

one by one—

they disappeared.

Tara whispered:

“Ohhhh, this is going to be GOOD.”

DeNae groaned.

Lala looked at Mark.

Mark looked at the impossible report.

And somewhere very deep inside Room 51, a classified folder that had remained untouched for twenty years quietly unlocked itself.

Stamped across its cover were four words:

AGENT MISSING — CASE UNRESOLVED.

Case №731 had officially begun.

And Agent Mark Reed had absolutely no idea that the three detectives he’d been annoyed with twenty minutes earlier were about to destroy nearly everything he’d believed for the last ten years.

Especially the blonde one with the notebook.

And possibly—

although he wasn’t ready to admit this even to himself—

the snarky one standing beside him.

🔍👽 DAY 1 — “UNEARTHLY EVIDENCE”

Tara’s Perspective — The Orion

I would just like the record to show that I was right.

Actually, no.

I would like the record to show that I was spectacularly, gloriously, intergalactically right.

Unfortunately, I appear to be the only person at this investigation who appreciates the significance of that fact.

Mark had been working the scene since sunrise, moving from evidence marker to evidence marker with the calm confidence of a man who had apparently spent ten years explaining away every weird thing anyone had ever put in front of him.

He measured.

Photographed.

Bagged.

Labeled.

Wrote notes.

Measured again.

Very professional.

Very methodical.

Very—

“Boring,” I said.

Mark didn’t look up.

“Thorough.”

“Same family.”

DeNae made a noise behind me that sounded suspiciously like a laugh.

Lala immediately defended him.

“I think thorough is attractive.”

I turned around.

“Of course you do.”

Lala shrugged.

Mark pretended he hadn’t heard any of this.

He had.

💫✨

My Handy Dandy Notebook was already open.

CASE №731 — DAY 1

Underneath, I had written:

ALIEN COUNT: FIVE
PEOPLE WILLING TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS: ONE

DeNae walked past.

“Still zero.”

“YOU SAW THEM.”

“I saw trees.”

“You saw a seven-foot blue alien standing beside a tree.”

“I saw an unusually blue tree.”

I stared at her.

She kept walking.

Denial is apparently a survival mechanism.

✨💫

Then Mark called us over.

There was a strange impression in the earth near the center of the area where the flash had occurred.

At first it wasn’t particularly exciting.

And I say that as someone deeply committed to making practically anything exciting.

The technicians had photographed it, sampled the soil around it and compared it with the original images taken immediately after the flash.

Mark crouched beside the trace.

His expression changed.

“What?” I asked.

He didn’t answer.

One of the specialists handed him another report.

Mark read it.

Then read it again.

I leaned over his shoulder.

“Anything alien?”

“No.”

“You answered very quickly.”

“Tara.”

“Just keeping our options open.”

Then Mark said something that shut all of us up.

“The trace was already here.”

DeNae frowned. “Before you arrived?”

Mark shook his head.

“Before the flash.”

Oh.

OH.

The first photographs of the area had been compared with older survey and security images. The same unusual disturbance in the ground was visible before the event that was supposedly responsible for creating it.

The specialists had repeated their analysis.

Same result.

Whatever had made the trace…

had happened before the incident.

Mark stared at it.

For the first time since we’d arrived, Mr. Ten-Years-of-Fact-Checking didn’t immediately have an explanation.

I wrote in enormous letters:

IMPOSSIBLE EVIDENCE!!!

Then underneath:

MARK IS CONFUSED. HISTORIC MOMENT.

“Tara.”

I covered the page.

“You’re invading the integrity of my investigative process.”

💫✨

That’s when I saw him.

At the edge of the trees.

Yellow.

Very, very yellow.

Tall and upright, with golden reptilian skin, clawed hands and slit-like pupils.

An Orion.

Or, according to the lore I’d studied, an Olais from Olai—the world identified there with Betelgeuse. The material also makes an important distinction I’d remembered: not all Orion Reptilians are portrayed as dark or hostile; some are described as benevolent beings aligned with love and light.

My pencil dropped.

“Guys.”

DeNae didn’t turn around.

“No.”

“I didn’t even say anything!”

“Your alien voice is different from your regular voice.”

“I have an alien voice?”

“You absolutely have an alien voice.”

I pointed.

“ORION.”

DeNae became extremely interested in an evidence marker.

Lala was watching Mark.

Naturally.

And Mark was still staring at the impossible trace.

Nobody looked.

Nobody except me.

The Orion stepped closer.

For half a second, every ridiculous joke disappeared from my head.

Because there was something about him I hadn’t expected.

Peace.

Not frightening.

Not threatening.

Just…

peaceful.

And somehow I understood him without seeing his mouth move.

The message wasn’t complicated.

Do not mistake darkness for victory.

I stopped breathing.

Images seemed to move through my mind—conflict, fear, people choosing control, others choosing compassion.

Darkness and light existing side by side.

Choice.

Always choice.

The Orion lore I’d read described Olai as a world divided between those choosing darkness and those choosing love, while ultimately holding that light will prevail.

And now I understood why this one had come first.

Not because Orion represented something frightening.

Because Orion represented choice.

He looked directly at me.

And another thought came.

You are on the right path.

My eyes filled.

Well.

That was unexpected.

I clutched my Handy Dandy Notebook against my chest.

The world feels dark sometimes.

Anyone paying attention can see that.

Fear is loud.

Anger is loud.

Cruelty is really, really loud.

But maybe loud doesn’t mean powerful.

Maybe the answer isn’t fighting darkness by becoming darker.

Maybe it’s stubbornly choosing something else.

Love.

Compassion.

Kindness.

Light.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Even when it seems ridiculous.

Even when nobody else sees what you see.

The Orion’s expression softened.

And I smiled.

“I know,” I whispered.

DeNae finally looked over.

“You know what?”

I wiped underneath my eye quickly.

“Nothing.”

She narrowed hers.

“Tara…”

“ALIEN BUSINESS.”

She immediately turned back around.

“Shouldn’t have asked.”

😂

✨💫

Behind us, Mark stood.

He looked from the report to the trace and back again.

Ten years of certainty had just developed its first tiny crack.

“I don’t understand how this is possible,” he murmured.

I looked toward the trees.

The Orion was beginning to disappear.

For one last second, those strange golden eyes remained fixed on mine.

Then he was gone.

I opened my notebook.

Under IMPOSSIBLE EVIDENCE, I wrote:

DAY 1 — ORION

And beneath it:

Darkness existing does not mean darkness wins.

Choose love. Choose light. Keep going.

Then I added one final investigative observation:

MARK REED HAS OFFICIALLY FOUND SOMETHING HE CAN’T EXPLAIN.

I put three stars around it.

Because some historic events deserve proper documentation.

👽✨ ALIEN CONTACT: 1 OF 5

📌 FOUND ITEM: The Magnifying Glass from the Collection of Evidence — the mysterious trace that specialists confirmed existed before the flash itself, turning an ordinary investigation into the first real contradiction of Case №731.

And for the first time, I wondered whether these five visitors weren’t here because of the flash at all.

Maybe the flash happened…

because they were coming.

🔍 DAY 1 — “UNEARTHLY EVIDENCE”

DeNae’s Perspective

I would like to begin Day 1 by stating something very clearly:

I did not see an alien.

Tara saw an alien.

Apparently a big golden reptilian one named Orion.

I saw a tree.

And I intend to continue seeing a tree. 😂

Meanwhile, those of us participating in the actual investigation found something genuinely strange. Using the magnifying glass we recovered from the Collection of Evidence, we examined a peculiar trace at the site of the mysterious flash.

Mark compared it with earlier photographs.

Then he got that look.

The trace hadn’t appeared after the flash.

It was already there BEFORE it.

Mark checked twice.

The specialists checked again.

Same answer.

Tara nearly exploded with happiness.

“IMPOSSIBLE EVIDENCE!”

Apparently watching a professional investigator question everything he believes is one of her love languages.

While Mark tried to figure out how evidence could predate the event that supposedly created it, Tara wandered off and began having what looked suspiciously like a heartfelt conversation…

with the tree.

I chose not to investigate further.

Lala wasn’t much help either. She was busy investigating Mark.

So at the end of Day 1, here’s my official report:

🔍 Found: Magnifying glass
📁 Case 731: Officially weird
👽 Aliens observed by DeNae: ZERO
🌳 Trees Tara claims are aliens: One

And somehow…

we still have four days left. 😅

😏🔍 DAY 1 — “UNEARTHLY EVIDENCE”

Lala’s Perspective

Apparently we’re investigating aliens.

Tara is thrilled.

DeNae is pretending aliens don’t exist.

And I am conducting an entirely different investigation.

Agent Mark Reed. 😏

In my defense, I did try to focus.

We found a magnifying glass, Mark examined a strange trace, everyone compared photographs, and then he announced:

“The trace was here before the flash.”

Interesting.

Mysterious.

Potentially impossible.

But have we discussed how attractive Mark looks when he’s confused?

No?

Fine. Moving on.

Tara immediately yelled something about IMPOSSIBLE EVIDENCE, grabbed her Handy Dandy Notebook and wandered toward the trees.

Then she started talking to a giant golden reptilian alien.

Allegedly.

I didn’t see it.

To be fair, I wasn’t looking. 😂

DeNae said it was a tree.

Mark was completely absorbed in Case 731.

And I was completely absorbed in…

the investigation.

Obviously.

🔍 Found: Magnifying glass
👽 Aliens observed: Questionable
📁 Impossible evidence: Confirmed
😍 Lead investigator: Also worth investigating

Four more days with Agent Reed?

I think I’m going to like Room 51. 😏
